Thursday Ladies 24 th March

Well looks like we probably should have played our March Monthly Medal today with the way the next week is forecast but I’m glad we didn’t . The newly renovated greens would have been a challenge if we had played a stroke round. Hopefully we can play our two medals in the next two weeks !

Today we played a single stableford with the winner Yvonne Morrison with 34 points and the runner up was Kaye Mills with 33 points on a count back from Alison Blair and Coral Rasmussen.

NTPs were Alison Blair and Coral Rasmussen on the 2nd and Fran Janes and Maren Cooper on the 7th. The ProPin was won by Pauline Benny – $29.

Rundown to 28 points : Alison Blair, Coral Rasmussen, Nancy Douglas, Pat Hodda, Colleen Kelly, June McFadden, Denise Melling, Betty Hall, Marilyn Berryman, Maren Cooper, Peggy Williams, Pauline Benny, Helen Evans, Liz Edwards and Glenda Ballard.

We have changed the format for our weekly raffles so that there are more draws to add a bit of excitement! Also our Easter Raffle is underway —see Helen Evans for tickets. Donations towards the Easter Raffle would be appreciated!

Thanks to everyone for your support and special thanks to the outgoing committee and the incoming committee!

Thanks to Roger for keeping the course playable for us with all the rain.

Looking forward to good golfing and dry days!!

Winners were Katrina and Brian Springfield. Runners up were Denise Melling and Rick Culpitt. Second Runners up were Kaye Mills and Ross Telfer.

After the game we got together for a few drinks and something to eat. BBQ’d beef and chicken kebabs with salads followed by Xmas fare for dessert. A big!! Thank you to Ken and Barry for their cooking and all the helpers with the setting up, the food and the cleaning up.

The whole day was sponsored by our golf club. We had a lovely array of raffles —- hams, wine, beer and hampers. Some provided by the club and some donated . Thank you to Myra’s daughter Fiona for selling the tickets.

Twin Towns President Brian and directors Sharon and Ken joined us also Patricia from Banora Point Real Estate.

We were sad to have to leave at 6 pm but we really didn’t need anything more to eat or drink!!

Next Sunday we finish of our year with a 4 person Ambrose sponsored by Jason.

Come along and join us and welcome back our friends from over the border!!
