Well another successful Xmas party day, great weather good conditions and 63 players who all said they enjoyed themselves. Many thanks to Barry and his team for a great B.B.Q. Angus beef steaks tender and smooth and mouth watering.

Next year 5 games need to be played on Vets mondays to be eligible for Xmas party same as club championships. Capt. Dave.

No Vets comp xmas day or new years day.

A little bit of rain in the morning didn’t deter a nearly full field of 95 players from playing today. Our December Monthly Medal was bought forward a week as the green renovations start next week. It was great to see so many out there as well as several visitors joining us. One or two slow morning groups pushed the arvo field back by roughly 20 minutes which is causing issues with the rest of the day. With the field size growing, it’s becoming important that the lowest marker in the group is being mindful of the pace of play. Again, the pace of place is about you doing your best to keep up with the group in front and not where the group you behind is!

Winners today were

Division 1 Michael Tink-Hornett (9) 67, runner-up Garry GD Dowding (1) 69 in a 3 way countback. Best gross was Terry Foster with 77.

Division 2 Ryan Modini (V) (17) 70 with the Medal going to runner-up Nathan Stockwell (16) 71. Best gross was Trevor Neil with 87.

Division 3 Joel Davies (21) 65 runner-up Colin Norton (23) 68 on a countback. Best gross was Nick Bronco Davis with 89.

The weather cleared and we were very lucky to have carts on for our Individual Stableford. Definitely worth mentioning that when carts are allowed on after rain, it is a responsibility of ALL cart users to make sure we respect the course and NOT drive through wet areas! We have numerous members who can’t walk 18 holes and must use a cart and will be unable to play if the rest of us do the wrong thing and carts are off because it’s too hard to park on the fairway and walk over to the ball. Please use some common sense and have respect for the course and our members that rely on carts being on the be able to get out for a game. This includes keeping ALL carts 15m from the greens at ALL times.

For the first time in a long time, we had more than 10% of the field play under their handicap and the ball rundown going only as far down as those who did play to handicap.

What a great day , perfect weather, good friends, golf , food and drinks, sweeps and raffles. We played a Medley Fourball , so everyone was welcome to play ! We had generous trophy donors – Mens Golf 👏👏 with winners , runners up and second runners up. Ladies Golf 👏👏 sponsored the 6 nearest the pins and two long drives! And a $50 Xmas Hamper for the raffle.

Thursday Golf results

Another good day it is definitely getting warmer , very summery today! We played a two person Ambrose today always a lot of fun apart from worrying about getting your drives in!!

Marlene our Veterans Rep advises that our annual fees are due and she will be collecting next week: $7 and $12 for new members.

Some of you will remember Ian Grimsey , he was our first green keeper , he passed away in August .

Not long now till Xmas Party time! 🎄 5 Thursdays to go🤣🤣🤣 we will be collecting for our raffles soon, making plans for next year and organising our 40 th Anniversary Parties.

Now to todays game: we played a 2 person Ambrose – 32 players. The winners were Marlene Wyatt and Pauline Benny with 69.50 , the Runners up were Colleen Kelly and Nancy Douglas with 75.50 .
