Wayne Martlew 1947 – 2024
Family, friends and Club Banora members gathered Thursday to celebrate Waynes’s life held at the Tweed Valley Way Memorial Gardens.
Wayne was born in Wellington New Zealand where he became a very proficient distance swimmer and water polo player. His love of family and sport saw him move on to golf in his retirement years and he joined Club Banora where he served on various committees for the Vets including Captain. Ill health a couple of years ago forced him to retire from golf however he still took a keen interest in the Vets at Banora.
In more recent times he spent much of his time caring for Penny, visiting her daily in the nursing home. The members of Club Banora send their sincere condolences to Penny and her family at this sad time.
