Tough conditions on the course today. To start the day a nice breeze, but by the end of the day it was really blowing. We played today under 2 competitions, Championship Stroke, and for the players who opted out of the Championship, we had a Single Stableford event.
94 players took part, 53 in the Championship but unfortunately 3 had to pull out during the round, and 41 played Stableford.
In A GRADE gross we had a big move by defending champion Alan Hubbard, who picked up 9 shots on the leader Garry Dowding, now Garry has a very slender 1 shot lead.
B GRADE Phil Coles has taken the lead by 1 shot from Brendon Willoughby and Nigel Luxton.
And C GRADE Owen McCallum has a 3 shot lead over Nathan Smith and Col Norton.

Joke of the day
After a series of disastrous holes, the strictly amateur golfer in an effort to smother his rage, laughed loudly, and said to his caddie … “This golf is a funny game.” “It’s not supposed to be,” said the caddie gravely.
