MENS GOLF WEDNESDAY 19/10/22

Well we were able to get through the day without any rain. 45 players today, smaller field, it looks as though players held off, thinking it was going to rain.

Only one Visitor today, and that was Jeffrey Mullins from Wentworth G.C..

Single Stableford today, 2 Divisions.

Division 1. Winner Pat Hayes (8) 38pts. Runnerup Phil Coles (13) 37pts.

Division 2. James (19) 38pts. Runnerup John McLoughlin (21) 37pts.

Ball rundown went to 34pts.

NTP’S Division 1. 2nd Nimai Strickland, 7th Joe Lehkyj. 12th Phil Coles. 16th Kyle Harrison.

Division 2. 2nd Mark Jessop. 7th Nick Davis. 12th Michael Byrne. 16th John McLoughlan.

Raffles. We did not draw the raffle today, as we didn’t have enough sales. We will bring the sheet out again next Wednesday.

If we are able to play on Saturday, for our Foursome Championship, please arrive early and pay your money, and there will be meeting to make sure everyone understands the Competition format at 7.30am.

Joke of the day

Nigel Luxton paced anxiously up and down outside the emergency room of the Tweed Heads Hospital, not far from Banora Point Golf Course. Inside the Doctors were operating to remove a golf ball, accidentally driven down a players throat. The sister-in-charge noticed Nigel and went to reassure him. “It won’t be long now,” she said. “Are you a relative?” “No, no Sister. It’s my ball.”
