What a beautiful day for golf, but didn’t we get fooled. The morning field got through before the dreaded rain returned. The first group in the afternoon got halfway through the back nine, and we started to get annoying drizzle, but later the heaven’s opened up, and the last 3 to 4 groups got smashed. But it was still great to get back to what we have been missing, for the last couple of weeks.
Anyone wishing to play Pennant golf, please put your name on the list in the scoring room. There is not long before the names have to be sent to the NRDGA, for the draw to be done.
This Saturday we have the April Monthly Medal. 3 Divisions, and our Pro Pin is on hole 7.

Joke of the day.
Sal was playing his weekly round of golf. He began his round with an Eagle on the first hole, and a Birdie on the Second hole. On the third hole, he had just scored his first ever Hole-in-one, when his a phone rang. It was a Doctor notifying him that his Wife had just been in an Accident. She was in a Critical condition in ICU. Sal told the Doctor to inform his wife where he was, and that he’d be there as soon as possible. As he hung up he realized he was leaving what was shaping up to be his best ever round of golf. He decided to get in a couple more holes before heading to the Hospital.
He ended up playing all 18 holes, finishing his round, shooting a personal best 61, shattering the Club record by 3 strokes, and beating his previous best round by more than 10 strokes. He was Jubilant. Then he remembered his wife. Feeling guilty, he dashed to the Hospital. He saw the Doctor in the corridor, and asked about his wife’s condition. The Doctor glared at him and shouted. “You went ahead and finished your round, Didn’t you?. I hope you’re proud of yourself! While you were out for the past 4 hours, enjoying yourself at the Club, your wife has been Languishing in the ICU. The Doctor continued, “It’s just as well you went ahead and finished that round, because it will be more than likely your last! For the rest of her life, she will require around the clock care, and you will be her Caregiver.! She will need It. You will have to change her Colostomy bag every three hours. She will have to be spoon-fed three times a day and don’t forget you will have to bathe her! Sal broke down and sobbed.
The Doctor chuckled and said, “I’m just messing with you. She’s going to be fine. What did you shoot”.
