Another very good field of 90 players went out and had a hit. Eleven players were even par or better, even though the course is playing good, there is still a lot of us finding the going tough. It was a surprise to find the 3rd fairway top dressed, we now just play that fairway G.U.R., and take a free drop (if your ball is in the top soil) at nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole.

I have been questioned by players wanting to know what hole the Pro Pin is on the day. I will write it on the notice board beside the bridge as you go onto the course. For me I’m just happy to get on any par 3 for one, without having to worry about getting on the green because it’s the Pro Pin hole.
