We have decided to call off the Eisenhower Cup from this Sunday June 2nd. The forecast is for rain from later Saturday into Sunday morning. I do not think we can leave it to late Saturday to decide.
Considering course conditions, some are pretty good but a lot of others are playable but the forecast of rain makes them marginal. Also cart usage will be restricted or not available, A lot of players have also indicated they do not wish to play in rain.
Clubs and players need certainty and I believe now is the time to postpone.
I will contact clubs and see about availability for an event later in the year. From my interaction with players they want to play, The team environment, the chance to play away courses and the competition are common sentiments.
