Club Banora Course changes coming into effect Saturday 8th June 2024.
The changes to slope and scratch ratings have come directly from GOLFNSW / World Handicap System Based on average 5000+ rounds played at Twin Towns (men & women & vistors)
In order to adjust the 8th Hole to a par 5. We had to make the below changes. The course has been under rated and over rated in some aspects. Hopefully these changes will balance things out. I hope as a club it benefits all members of all skill levels.
HOLE CHANGES – BLUE / WHITE TEE
The Men’s 8th Hole was a Par 4. It will now play as a Par 5 for both white and blue tees.
The June trial on the Mens 11th Hole Par 3 is in place. The white and blue markers have been pushed up closer to red markers.
SCRATCH & SLOPE CHANGES
Mens Blue Tees: The scratch rating is being reduced down to 69 from 70. The slope rating will be increased to 133 from 127
White Tees: No change to scratch rating. Slope rating will be 123 reduced from 126
Red Tee: Scratch rating to 73 increased from 71. No change to slope. Ladies will receive 2 shots on their handicap when playing the red course.
HOLE INDEXS – BLUE / WHITE TEE
Hole index’s will be updated with these changes on the 8th June, this is Men’s golf only. At this stage it will only be a few holes. Please check your score card for all changes, handicap, shots per Hole etc.
FUTURE CHANGES – BLUE / WHITE TEE
There will be a few more trials coming up over the next few months. Moving of tee boxes etc, just to give us a little variety and something different. So please make sure you read the notice boards and watch out for any signage you see out on the course.
