As we all know the 2024 pennant series was washed out. We will be running an Eisenhower Cup event on the 22nd September 2024 a one day event where the pennant flags will be awarded to the winners.
The event will see all club teams, except division 1, of 7 players, compete against the other 3 teams in their division at the same venue. The format will be the best 5 of 7 Stapleford scores for each team to count, the team with the highest total will take home the pennant flag.
Division 1 will have a team of 5 players with the best 4 stroke scores to count.
The number of players will be lower than earlier in the year as I know many like the match play experience. Players will still be able to play in a team environment with their mates, as well as a neutral venue, and in a competitive event.
Attached is a nomination sheet. This can be downloaded, and details entered you do not have to print and manually enter details.
Once I have the entries, I will allocate teams into divisions and arrange venues. I will make minor adjustments to restrict travel where possible. Most matches will start at 8.00am playing in mixed groups of 4 but a couple may be at 10.00am due to course availability.
As courses have made tee times available, I need to get the draw done as soon as possible. Please attend to this ASAP you know who was in your original teams and nomination must be received no later than the 25th August 2024, earlier much appreciated.
