100 members in the festive spirt played on Saturday in our 2023 Christmas party. We played a 4 person Ambrose from the ladies tee’s with no minimum number of drives required which allowed a couple of members to still be able to enjoy the day after recent procedures. From all reports a fun day was had by all except that one bloke who throw his putter and it got stuck up a palm tree. Baz and Sharron put on a BBQ and Katrina came down to help in getting all our members fed except the one guy who missed out. One or two beverages were consumed after the event with a majority of the field walking away with a raffle prize as well.
Winners of the day were Des Scott, Graham Hopkins, Cole Norton and David Von Itzstein (9.13) with 48.87.
Runners up Garry GD Dowding, Patty Tregellas, Merv Evans and Gerry Martin (7.88) with 50.12.
I must pass on a very big thanks to Wayne, Brent, Patty, Dave and Will for all their help in the getting the day set up as well as Tim and Russ for running the shop on the day and looking after us all. Thanks Baz for the BBQ and Sharron and Katrina for helping feed us.
We will do it all again next year!
