Joke of the day

Wilko sliced his drive and watched resignedly as the ball plummeted into the woods. He followed after and found his ball surrounded by thick undergrowth and wedged firmly between two tree roots. He contemplated the situation for a few profoundly silent minutes, then turned to his caddie and asked, “Do you know what kind of shot I’m going to take here?” “Yes Sir,” replied the caddie, as he took a hip flask of Whiskey from the bag.

Negotiations between Union members and their Employer were at a stalemate. The Union denied that their workers were flagrantly abusing their contracts sick leave provisions. One morning at the bargaining table, the company’s chief negotiator held aloft the morning edition of the news paper. “This man,” he announced, “called in sick yesterday!” There on the sports page, was a photo of the supposedly I’ll Employee, who had just won a local Golf Tournament with an excellent score. The Silence in the room was broken with a Union negotiator. “Wow,” he said. “Just think of what kind of score he could have had if he hadn’t been sick!”

Well, I think we had the first taste of Summer. Hot and very humid. 65 players sweated their way around the course, and looking at the scores, the morning players had the best of it. With six major placing’s over the 3 grades, 5 went to the morning players.

Before I get onto the winners, we seem to have a shortage of sand buckets. Over the last 3 weeks, when the afternoon players start their round, their are no sand buckets to use. If any one who might have any stored in their cart shed or mistakenly taken any home, could you please return them.

Joke of the day

An Alien spaceship hovered over a golf course and two aliens watched a solitary golfer in amazement. The golfer duffed his tee shot, shanked his second into the rough, took three to get out of the rough onto the fairway, sliced the next shot into the bushes. Then, the golfer took a putter to poke it out onto the fairway again. Meanwhile, one Alien told the other that he must be playing some sort of weird game, and they continued to observe the golfer. The golfer then skulled a shot into a bunker by the green. He took several shots to get out of the bunkers and finally onto the green. He putted several times until he finally got it into the hole. At that point, the other Alien told his partner, “Wow, now he’s in serious trouble!”

Joke of the day

Jesus and Moses were playing golf. On the 5th hole, a shot over water to an Island Green, Moses hit his 6 iron and it landed perfectly on the green. Jesus pulled out his 7 iron and began teeing it up when Moses stopped him. “The 7 isn’t enough Club. It’ll go in the water.” Jesus replied, “If Tiger Woods can do it, I can do it.” He swung the 7 iron and, sure enough, it landed straight in the drink. He teed up a second ball and grabbed his 7 iron again. Moses reminded him of his previous attempt, and again Jesus said, “If Tiger Woods can do it, I can do it.” “Plop”. Into the water it went again. He continued to try to hit the 7 iron over and over until he ran out of golf balls in his bag. At that point, Jesus began to walk out on the water looking down to locate his lost golf balls. The Foursome behind them approached the Tee, spotted Jesus out on the lake and said to Moses, “Hey, who does that guy think he is, Jesus Christ?” “NO,” Moses responded. “He thinks he’s Tiger Woods.”
