Joke of the day

Kevin was playing a round of golf with pals, Mick, Wayne and Al. Playing poorly, Kevin turned to his group and said, “I’m sorry guys, but my game just isn’t what it used to be. I should never have had that darn operation. Before my operation, I could hit the ball out of sight.” His playing partners look at each other quizzically, not knowing Kevin had gone under the knife. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know you had surgery Kevin,” Wayne said. What was the operation for?” “Cataracts,” Kevin said.

Joke of the day

An avid golf fan who was no longer a practicing golfer, was standing in a ticket line at the airport. A man in a line parallel to his, had a big golf bag slung over his shoulder. Since the line was long and airline ticketing is a slow process at best, the pair struck up a conversation. The man travelling with his clubs brightened when the fan admired his Golf bag, and he proudly stated that he was on the PGA tour. The Pro then returned the favor, asking the question all golfers ask, “Do you play?” The fan shook his head, “I used to, but I quit because I wasn’t very good. I shot consistently in the low 70’s. There was a long, low intake of breath, then, “The low 70’s” he asked. “Yes,” the fan said. “Consistently?” He asked, confused. “And you quit?” “Every nine holes,” the former golfer said.

At the Clubs Annual Board meeting, the President is just about to finish, when one of the members stops him and says, “There is one more item to discuss – the exclusion of Mr Peterson.” “Why?” asks the President. “Last week he punched our new Treasurer while in the bunker on the ninth hole,” the President is informed. The new Treasurer had ruffled many feathers at the club since taking over by tightening the budget to take away some of the perks that members had become comfortable with. “So, we all would like to do that,” the President says, “It is not a reason for exclusion!” “True,” the upset member said, “But he didn’t rake the bunker afterwards.”

Joke of the day.

A couple was playing golf one day on a very, very exclusive golf course, lined with million dollar houses. On the third tee, the husband said, “Honey, be very careful when you drive the ball, don’t knock out any windows, it’ll cost us a fortune to fix.” The wife teed up and shanked it right through the window of the biggest House on the course. The husband cringed and said, “I told you to watch out for the houses. All right, let’s go up there, apologize, and see how much this is going to cost.” They walked up and knocked on the door. A voice said, “come on in.” They opened the door and saw glass all over the floor and a broken bottle lying on it’s side in the foyer. A man on the couch said, “Are you the people who broke my window? “Uh, yeah, Sorry about that,” the husband replied. “No, actually, I want to thank you. I’m a Genie who was trapped for a thousand years inside that bottle. You’ve released me. I’m allowed to Grant three wishes-I’ll give you each one wish, and I’ll keep the last one for myself.” “Okay, Great!” The husband said. I want a million dollars a year for the rest of my life.” No problems it’s the least I could do, “And you, what do you want?” The Genie said, looking at the wife. “I want a house in every country of the world,” she said. “Consider it done,” the Genie replied. “And what’s your wish, Genie?” The husband asked. “Well, since I’ve been trapped in the bottle, I haven’t been with a woman in a thousand years. My wish is to sleep with your wife.” The husband looked at the wife and said, “Well, we did get a lot of money and all those houses, Honey, I guess I can look the other way.” The Genie took the wife upstairs. After they slept together, the Genie looked at the wife, and said, “How old is your husband, Anyway?” “55” she replied. The man smiled and said, “And he still believes in Genies? That’s Amazing.”

MENS GOLF WEDNESDAY 29/6/22

What looked to be a very ordinary day for golf, turned out to be a very pleasant day. With the drizzling rain starting, just as the afternoon field started to take to the course, it wasn’t looking that good. But the drizzle only lasted 2 holes, then the weather cleared for a nice afternoon.

Sorry if it was confusing on the 7th green with all the markers, as I only asked for one set to be used, and we were only playing NTP’S on 2,7 and 12, but confusion reined and we finished with a double set.

Please when scanning your card wait to see if it agrees with what you thought you had, that allows you to correct the problem, if any, and it will also let you know if you have 1 signature on your card. If you agree with everything then press save. If you don’t agree press edit, then correct it.

Raffle number 15, (how’s that Jim Benny) and winners are Stuart Irving $25, Peter Edwards $50, Ken Mount $50.

Joke of the day

One of the usual Saturday Foursome couldn’t make it, so the Barry the Pro asked the three other guys if he could put a young lady with them, adding, she was a very good golfer. The group reluctantly said okay, and when they got to the tee it turned out she was also a real “knockout.” The young lady played great. She hit the 18th green, leaving her shot just 10 feet from the hole. While lining up a tricky downhill putt, she announced that if she could hole out for birdie, she would break par for the first time. She then added that if one of the guys helped her with the read, she would cook him dinner and show him a very , very good time. The first guy looked at the putt and told her it broke four inches to the left. The second guy to speak up said that the first read was wrong ….. The putt was straight. The third guy then spoke up saying ….. “It’s good ….. Pick it up.”

You don’t want to ask that question …” “Yes, Becky, I really want to know, PLEASE…” “Well , alright. Yes, Three times …” she admitted. “Three? Well, when were they?” He asked. “Well Mark”, remember when you were 35 years old and you really wanted to start your own business and no Bank would give you a loan? There was a course with a parking lott off the first fairway. Separating the fairway and the Lott is the access road to the Pro Shop. One day, a ball comes flying off the First tee, hits the rear window of a car, shattering it. The ball ricochets into the windshield of another car, and cracks that, then bounces and hits a golfer in the head as he is unloading his clubs. He has to be taken to hospital. After surveying the damage, Barry the Pro, asks each golfer as they walk of the ninth green, if anyone hit a slice off the first tee. After numerous negative replies, Barry finally finds his culprit. Kenny Mount admits that, Yes, he hit his first tee shot to the right, but believed it went out-of-bounds, so he and the rest of his group didn’t bother looking for it. Barry explained about the two car windows and the golfer in the hospital. By the time he finishes re-creating the scene, the entire foursome is visibly upset, and Kenny says, “Oh, that’s terrible, what can I do?” Barry say’s, “You should probably try rolling your hands a little to the right to strengthen your grip. “
