A rather fierce southerly greeted 33 teams for yesterday’s Foursome Championship. From all reports a great day was had by all even after being put in some very interesting places by their partners. Saying that, I definitely owe Terry Foster a beer or six! Most of us stayed for a beer or three and Kev did the presentation for the last time before he and Janet make their way south for the next chapter. Thanks for all that you have done for the club Kev!
Our 2023 Men’s Foursomes Champions are Garry Dowding and Patrick Tregellas with a score of 118 of the bat. Runners-up Tony Blair and Ray Mills with 128.
Division 2 Gross Winners Groff S Clarke and Jungle with 139 runners-up Gerry Martin and Terry Smith with 144 off the bat.
Division 1 Nett Winners Greg Morrison and Stuart Smart with 114 Runners-up Les Browning and Jared Brown with 114.25.
Division 2 Nett Winners VC Wayne Muir and Mick Walsh with 112.75 runners-up Kev Bartlett and Stevie Caine with 114.
We put and a raffle so Jimmy Wood could come and be involved in the day even though he was unable tp play. (It’s never the same when you aren’t there Jimmy) Bryan Penny $25, Stevie Caine $25, Macca McGuniess $25, Ian Strange $25 and John Baddeley $75.
