Joke of the day

A guy was sitting quietly reading his paper when his wife walked up behind him and whacked him on the head with a rolled up magazine. “What was that for?” he asked. “THAT” was for the piece of paper i found in your pants pocket with the name Laura Lou on it,” she replied. “Two weeks ago when i went to the races, Laura Lou was the name of one of the horses I bet on,” he explained. “Oh honey, i’m sorry,” I should have known there was a good explanation.” Three day later he was watching the football on the TV, when she walked up and hit him on the head again, this time it was with the iron skillet, which knocked him out cold. When he came to, he asked, “What in the world was that for.” She replied, “Your horse called.”

Ladies Golf Thursday 23 rd Feb

Well we only had a small field , no doubt because it looked like it might rain!! Those who played didn’t find it a problem , it’s a pity to miss out on a days golf as I’m sure there will be some really wet days to contend with over the year and we will be wishing we could get out there.
So we had a single stableford this week and the winner was Katrina Springfield with a lovely 40 points, Katrina also won the pro pin.with second place going to Kaye Mills with 37 points. NTP was on the 7th and was won by Pauline Ryan.
Coming up next week is our first Monthly Medal for the year! We will be playing in two divisions Div 1 : 0-28 Div 2: 29-45. Make sure you have your money in for our Special Events to be held in conjunction with our medal days. Hope you all enjoy your day I wish I could be playing with you!
Also coming up is our Golf Club AGM on Saturday March 18th.
There are a few changes coming up in our Ladies Subcommittee, June is standing down from being our secretary , she has been on our committee for many years and is in need of a break but would be happy to show someone the ropes.
Looking forward to seeing you all this Thursday!!

Captain Liz

Great to see another great day for a game of golf. 76 players had a game, which was a little down on what we normally have, but for those who played, we had some great individual scores, and some not so good scores, but the best part, it was played as a team day, and it’s nice to fall back on a partner who’s playing well.

Don’t forget that March 18 is our AGM day, so if you want to play that day, it will be a 8am Shotgun start, Single Stableford Mixed event, so when BOOKINGS for that day open you must book for yourself or your group. There is only 80 places so get in and get your spot.

Joke of the day

On a fine Monday morning, Dave the postman was walking around his usual route, delivering mail. He saw that at the next house both cars were in the driveway, he’s a bit shocked by this, but he sees the homeowner, Greg, walking out with a ton of empty beer, wine and spirit bottles to go into the recycling bin. Dave looks for a moment and then says “Well damn, you guys sure had one hell of a party last night.” Greg looks up at him and groans. “Actually it was Saturday, I just haven’t felt like moving since 4 on Sunday morning. We had 15 couples over Saturday night for some weekend fun, and it got pretty wild. At midnight we got so drunk we decided to play, “Who am I?” Greg looks at him as though he understood, but then asks, “How do you play, “Who am I?” Greg explains, “All the guys went into the bedroom and came out with a sheet on with only the “Family Jewels” showing and the girls had to guess who it was.” Dave chuckles for a moment and says “Wow” sounds like fun, sad I couldn’t make it.” Greg looks at him and says, “Probably for the best, your name came up 7 times.”
