NRDGA EISENHOWER CUP

Our Men’s traveled away this Sunday for the 2025 Eisenhower Cup.

Team 1, Terry Foster, Garry Dowding, Sam Benny, Ryan Modini, Grant Treloar, Charlie Huff, and Simon Gates played at Mullumbimby. The boys improved on last year’s result. We had some new faces in the team this year. Well played Gents.

Team 2, Bryan Penny, Brent McLennan, Jimmy Woods, Darren Hubery, Paul Quinlin, Steve Salter, and Will Salter. The boys played at Murwillumbah and Unlucky not to come away with a win. A notable mention to Will Salter who had 37 points and that was with 2 wiped holes. Better luck new year guys.

Pennant dates in 2026  will be the 12th July, 19th July, 26th July, and finals on the 2 August.

🏆2025 Men’s Foursome’s🏆

2025 MEN’S FOURSOME CHAMPIONSHIP

We made it! Men’s golf finished our 2025 honour board calendar this weekend with the foursome’s championship being played. Although it was a small field of only 64 players and 32 teams. The course was beautifully prepared by Brendon and his team and it’s a full credit to their commitment throughout the year. The course has never been better, and all members of Club Banora appreciate all your hard work, with that being said, it was a day filled with drama, someone getting a 13 on the 1st hole, Water, Out of bounds, 3 putts, 4 putts, 5 putts, lost balls, saying sorry, reaching for another new ball and asking how many holes left kind of day. It was great to see some new names in the winner’s circle.  Thank you to everyone who stayed back till the presentation.

A big thank you to Ken Culpitt, without your spreadsheets, today would have been a lot harder as everything had to calculated and manually entered into the computer. Shout out to Michael Kemp for helping me at the end of the day collecting the cards. Big thank you to Paul Quinlin for helping at the end of the day with finalising the results.

DO IT FOR JARROD LYLE 4Person Ambrose Sat 11th Oct

Tomorrow marks the annaul charity event the Men’s golf play once a year for do it for Jarrod Lyle day.

Jarrod Lyle was a lifelong ambassador for Challenge. With his passing, Jarrod’s gift to Challenge was his wish to raise ongoing funds to support children and families living with cancer.

We have lots of prizes to give out tomorrow and a guessing game at the bar, Guess how many yellow bananas are in the jar. A gold coin donation gets you 1 guess. The prize being a Jarrod Lyle cap and a much sort after golf towel.

All of the proceeds from the Saturday raffle will go directly to the Jarrod Lyle charity.

If you have something in your wardrobe that’s yellow, please wear it for Jarrod tomorrow or anything bright and out there would be more than acceptable.

Tomorrow is all about fun. No limit on drives.

If you can, any donation would be much appreciated and its going to a great cause.
