Well, there weren’t exactly life forms crawling all over the course today, with just 65 players taking to the course. Apparently there was some sort of Grand Final being played somewhere… who knew? 😂

Those who did make it out were rewarded with a beautiful day, and the course is currently in absolute tip-top condition. Full credit to Brendo and the boys for having it looking so good. It really is a pleasure to see the place presented in such great shape.

🏆 Division 1 Winners

The ever-steady David Wallis (18) took out Division 1 with a very solid 40 points, continuing to show that steady golf gets the job done. David collected the $50 voucher, with Steven Warne (13) finishing runner-up on 39 points.

🥇 Division 2 Winners

And then we had the dark horse!

John Maconachie (28) absolutely dominated Division 2 — and, for that matter, the entire field — with a cracking 42 points to take the win.

Twenty-five points on the back nine to come storming home with 42 points? That’s the sort of finish that gets the attention of the handicapping system! 😳

John takes home the $50 voucher and the proud owner of a new handicap losing 2 shots, with John Olsen (22) finishing runner-up on 39 points.

🔧 A Few Things Still Happening

We still have a few matters pending with the Twin Towns Board regarding some minor decisions yet to be made around the course.

As for the course setup, we’re going to let things play as they are for the next month. After that, we’ll reassess the 1st and 10th holes and make any appropriate index changes based on the scores coming back from the competitions.

For now, though, the course is in fantastic nick, the scores are rolling in and there’s plenty happening on and off the course.

🏆 Wednesday Stableford Wrap-Up

What a cracking day of Stableford golf, with plenty of big scores, plenty of balls handed out and a few familiar names finding their way onto the winner’s list!

🥇 Winners – Division 1

Kevin Bartlett (16) – 40 points took out Division 1 with an excellent 40-point haul, earning the $50 voucher and the honour of putting his name at the top of the division.

Mark Kenny (15) – 38 points followed closely behind to claim the runner-up spot and a $35 voucher.

🏆 Winners – Division 2

Allan Corke (32) – 40 points produced the winning score in Division 2, taking the $50 voucher after a very handy 40 points.

Michael Druhala (19) – 39 points was right behind him with 39 points, collecting the $35 runner-up voucher.
