COURSE CHANGE

1st and 10th Tee Changes: A Decision for Safety

Twin Towns has made the decision to change the location of the 1st and 10th tees due to ongoing safety concerns involving golf balls striking nearby homes.

For some time, residents in these houses have faced the risk of golf balls being hit onto their properties. This has raised legitimate concerns about the safety of residents, visitors and the homes themselves.

The tee changes are intended to reduce the risk of golf balls being hit towards residential properties and create a safer environment for everyone.

While changes to the course may take some adjustment for golfers, safety must remain a priority. Twin Towns believes these changes are a necessary step to address the ongoing issue and help protect the surrounding homes and residents.

We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all members and golfers as these changes are introduced.

  1. Is it possible to play an extra singles event as opposed to team events eg. Par event as I cannot remember the last time we played one? But I can certainly remember all the Ambrose, 4 balls and best of three etc where we are only making up the numbers does becomes wearing.

    1. John, We have put it to the members and no one likes Vs Par competitions, that’s why is hasn’t been in our rotation of events. as for other events, leave it with me. the trouble we face that no matter how much signage we put out or blogs about new competitions, no one reads them and on the day causes chaos for our committee trying to process 90 cards all filled out incorrectly etc. leave it with me and ill what easy single games we can introduce – Men’s Captain Patrick
