You can play 1 2 or 3 days , pay on the day , play in your division , there will be a draw for the last day for the top 8 in each division. On the third day we will have a free lunch and a drink. Mens Golf Saturday 29-04-23

The weather we were expecting held off and the southerly died down as 83 players contested todays single Stableford.

I was fortunate enough to bump into an old member who had returned for a round with some former playing partners. He made mention of how good the course is looking and playing as well as not being used to the quick pace of the greens. It’s always nice to hear this kind of feedback so thanks must be given to Rodger and his crew for the course we are playing on!

Toady seen some very mixed results with 12 members playing to handicap or better. Winners today were:

Division 1 Colin McLeod (17) 40pts runner-up Patrick Tregellas (11) 39pts CB.

If you are ever unsure, PLEASE ask before submitting your card.

Big thank you to Katrina and Kev for looking after the business end of things today. Muchly appreciated!

THURSDAY LADIES GOLF 20th April

Sorry for the delay getting the results out.
On Thursday we played a single stableford on a very windy day. It was not easy at all so we must congratulate Pauline Ryan on her magnificent 39 points, the only person to play to their handicap or better , she also won the NTP on the 7th and the ProPin on the 12th. Runnerup was myself with 34 points, hopefully a sign of better things to come!

We had a generous rundown because we had a trophy donor, it went down to 27 points which shows just how tough it was out there.
Kaye Mills had a nice finish to her day scoring an Eagle on the last hole.
It was great to see Doreen Rankine and Glenda Ballard back playing after each had lengthy delays after surgery.
The NTPs were well spread out over the field, all 3 were in two divisions on the 2nd was Colleen Kelly and Yvonne Morrison, On the 7th was Pauline Ryan and Mary Swanson and on the 16th was Kaye Mills and Janet Haddrick.

This week we are playing a 2ball aggregate Stableford. You will each get a card and have a partner. Partners will be the first two on the sheet and the second two, if that is not how wish to play it is up to you to get it changed before Thursday! You must swap cards with someone in the opposite team! To help the card checkers you could keep your team scores in the spare columns.

On Friday we have 5 girls going to Casino to represent our club in a Teams Event, great to see Open Days back on the calendar again we are hoping to have one ourselves on the 28 th September.

Our next “event” will be our Club Championships starting on the 18th May, hopefully this showery/windy weather will be gone by then!! Conditions of Play will be up this week and the nomination sheet will be out on the 4th May. We are planning to have a light lunch and a drink for you on the last day.

We had a beginners free clinic last week so we are hoping to get some new players , there is another free clinic on the 16th May, once they get hooked on the game they will want to come out and play so let me know if you are interested in taking someone out for nine holes or to put their cards in!

Thankyou to the Committee and helpers who all work to make our day go smoothly!!

Cheers from

Captain Liz
