A field of 84 players took on the September Monthly Medal. Being the first round of the Men’s Championships as well. I asked Rodger for a course and he definitely delivered with some great pin positions and back tees.

Division 2 Steve Wilkinson (18) 69 runner-up Geoff Johnston (19) 71. Best Gross Kevin Haddrick (Visitor) with 86.
Division 3 Will “Purse Strings” Salter (23) 64 runner-up Rob Cohen (25) 67. Best Gross Wayne Stone with 90.
Ball Rundown went to 74 all in.

This coming week we are playing a fourball and it will be our Tombola Day, bring in your home made goodies , cakes jams plants craft and any other suitable items, they can be left in our new back room on the big table see a committee member if anything needs to be locked up.

A few clouds and the slightest bit of drizzle cleared early and left 41 pairs battling a little southerly that made club selection a bit more difficult.
Winners were Dave Killion and Paul Pochodyla (4.75) 62.25 runners-up Tony Blair and Rob Cohen (9.25) 62.75.
Keno Qualifiers are Garry Dowding and Michael Tink-Hornett (2) 63 who will represent the club at the regional final at Yamba on the 24th of next month.

Next week is our September Monthly Medal as well as the first round of Club Championships over 4 weeks playing for the Alan Hubbard Trophy.
The Pair must have a minimum combined daily handicap of 8 (eg. if one player’s daily handicap is 4 and the second players daily handicap is 2, they cannot play together because their combined daily handicap is only 6)
Each player in the pair must have no more than 20 strokes difference in their daily handicap. (eg. If the lowest marker’s daily handicap is 5, their partner must play off no more than a daily handicap of 25).
NOTE: If a pair’s daily handicaps are more than 20 strokes different, the higher marker will be limited to a daily handicap 20 strokes above the lower marker’s daily handicap.
The pair’s PLAYING handicap on the day will be ¼ of their combined daily handicap.
Each player must use at least 6 tee shots during a round.
Tee shots used MUST be indicated on the scorecard.
All pairs playing in the qualifying event must pay a $5 entry fee ($2.50 per player) at their Club qualifying event.
