As you may have noticed my handicap has been bouncing around a lot since the transition to the new GA Connect System. As previously blogged. My handicap has been 4, 6.5, 12.2, 16.5 and 17 which have been incorrect and no fault of my own. Each time I play, it goes up to a random number or comes down to my normal handicap of 4 after the completion of my round. I have been in direct contact with Golf Australia regarding this on-going issue and have been advised to keep playing in the hope it will sort itself out. Golf Australia is aware of the problem and have advised it’s been happening to players and clubs across Australia since the transition. As of the 20/11/25 they still have no solution to this on-going problem. As for the last 3 rounds, I have been playing off my usual 4 GA handicap. As a golfer, I can only play by what GA gives me to play on the day. It’s out of my control. It has caused me great stress and anxiety over the last 2 months.
On the 1st of November – Monthly Medal. I played off 17 and finished with a Net score of 68. I have no intention to use this score to be the monthly medal winner in B grade. This result has been amended to reflect the following. Winner Kyle Harrison with a net score of 69. Runner up was Mark James with a net score of 69. All financial miscalculations have been corrected to reflect these conditions.
On the 8th of November – Single Stableford. Playing off a handicap of 20, I finished with 46 points. I did not take the win. The winners on that day were Tony Waller with 37 points and Runner up was Ryan McDonald on 36, as per the report on the notice board.
