46 teams played our 4BBB Stableford today with the wind picking up in the morning and settling down for the afternoon field.

Captain Tink

It is with great sadness to advise the passing of former Captain Michael (Flash) Flanagan. Mick was a Captain of the Club for a number of years and even through major health issues he always held his position with great pride. He will be sadly missed. Thoughts are with Leonie and his family.

With hopefully only the one hiccup we are hoping to play the third round of our Club Championships this Thursday 1st June!
Everything has been progressing smoothly so far, the course is great and the greens are getting faster with the dry frosty weather.
As we are all getting older it is getting harder to be able to make it for all three games with various health problems for us and those near and dear to us! We all still have something to aim for with daily prizes open to all players each day!
Remember we have a special free lunch after the game for all our members and a drink or two!

The redraw has been done for Thursday, any problems let us know . At this stage I know that not everyone can see the blogs if they log in through the Twin Towns App it goes straight to the log in with no way to see the blogs or course status hopefully it will be corrected early in the week. If you get the opportunity check amongst your friends that they know what is going on, I have contacted all the non players to invite them for lunch!

Perfect weather saw 89 players enjoy our first 4 Person Ambrose in a while. It’s positive to see that the team events are attracting good numbers with quite a few more being scheduled for the remainder of the year for both Wednesday and Saturday.

Winners today with a score of 56.25 were Nico Neidhart, Aaron Garland, Frankie Watego and Nimai Strickland.

Runners-up with a score of 59 were Haden Gillbank, Steve Wilkinson (had 1 week off from the podium), Brad Wilkinson and Colin Norton.

Better weather greeted our 4 teams this week for the 2nd round.

Team 1 played Mullumbimby at Murwillumbah. Match was halved.

Team 2 played Iluka at Mullumbimby. Iluka won 4&3

Team 3 played Lismore at Mullumbimby. Match was halved.

Team 4 played Casino at Mullumbimby. Club Banora won 5&2.

Best of luck to the 4 teams for this weekend and hopefully a finals birth or two may eventuate!

We had a late start to the day as our club was hosting Men’s Pennants. It was awesome to be able to share our course with other golfers. Well done Roger, the course is looking amazing.
We had a field of 28 players for Sunday Funday, who all came out to enjoy the sunny autumn day, just perfect for golf. We played a 4BBB Stableford.

Sponsorship can be anything from NTPs to Winners or Runner Ups to the whole day. Sponsor together with friends or as individuals. Better still do you know or own a business who may like to sponsor. We can put banners up or name holes for the day…just ask!

No buggies or scooters for Thursday 18 th so Day 1 for our Championships will be Tuesday 23rd May, then Day 2 will be Thursday 25 th with Day 3 Thursday 1st June.
There will be a free lunch and drinks on the last day, we invite all members who are available to join us. We know some of you are unable to play all 3 games or not able to play a stroke round so please join us for our lunch and presentations but please let us know for catering numbers you are very welcome!!

Anyone who is now available to play on any of the days contact a committee member and let us know there is a daily ball rundown and best nett and gross for each day!
