25th March Men’s Competition
Due to recent rain and a waterlogged course. There will be NO CARTS allowed on the course. The scheduled 4man Ambrose competition is cancelled, and it will be replaced by a Winner takes all Event. 1 Division – Single Stableford. This will be based on the number of players that want to venture out and walk the 18 holes. There will be no NTP’s

Sunday Mixed Fundraiser for Twinnies Gives
The Golf Bag that Keeps on Giving! ⛳️✨
We are blown away by the incredible spirit of our members! Last year, two golf bags were donated by the Men’s Club for our Mixed Christmas raffle. In a wonderful turn of events, one bag was won and immediately donated back to be auctioned for Twinnies Gives.
A massive thank you to Brian and Marilyn Brown for offering it up for auction, where it was snapped up for $150 by John and Vivienne Sulijmani.
But the generosity didn’t stop there! John and Vivienne kindly offered the bag back to be raffled off once again, with all proceeds going directly to the Twinnies Gives Charity.
The Winners were announced at our AGM Saturday 21st March.

Our 100 Board Fundraiser for Twinnies Gives was a massive success! Because of your incredible generosity, every single square was snapped up, turning a donated golf bag into a significant contribution for a great cause.

This wouldn’t have been possible without the “triple-gifted” golf bag from the Men’s Club, the Browns, and the Sulijmanis. A special shout-out also goes to Cosmetic Alchemist for their generous donation of the skincare runner-up prize valued at over $150! ✨
Thank you to everyone who bought a square. Your $5 made a real difference for Twinnies Gives. 🖤💛 A wonderful story of community spirit! It’s incredible to see a single donation transform into multiple rounds of fundraising through the repeated generosity of our members. A total of $650 has been raised and will be handed over to Twinnies Gives in April. We will let everyone know of time and date of presentation.

🏌️♂️ Club Banora Golf Club – Sunday Mixed Pinehurst
Jim Benny Memorial Day | 22 March 2026
What a fantastic day it was at Club Banora for the annual Jim Benny Memorial Mixed Pinehurst, with great scoring, strong pairings, and plenty of laughs along the way. The course was in terrific condition and proved a fair but testing challenge in the Pinehurst format.
🏆 Winners – Mixed Division
It was a brilliant performance from Peter Edwards and Lilian Simpson, who combined beautifully to post a winning score of 68.87, taking out the Mixed title and the top prize. A classy round and well deserved!
🏆 Winners – Medley Division
Not to be outdone, Michael Kemp and Patrick Tregellas produced a superb round of 69.50 to claim the Medley title. A great display of teamwork and consistency across the 18 holes.
🥈 Runners Up Highlights
- Haydn Vincent and John Olsen finished strong with 71.50 to secure runner-up in the Medley division.
- In the Mixed division, Katrina and Brian Springfield combined nicely for 74.12 to take second place.
🎯 Ball Rundown
The rundown extended deep this week, rewarding many solid performances. Leading the way were:
- Desley Harrington and Garry Dowding with 74.37
- Followed by Sam Benny and Denise Melling on 75.75
Plenty of familiar names featured throughout the rundown, proving just how competitive the field was on the day.
🎁 Special Prizes
Nearest the Pins were hotly contested:
- Peter Edwards (2nd hole)
- Garry Dowding (7th hole)
- Lyn Simpson & Ryan Modini shared the 16th hole honours
- Keith Cooper claimed the Pro Pin on the 12th – pocketing a handy $50!
The raffle also spread the love around the clubhouse, with winners including Sam Benny, Lilian Simpson, and Vivienne Sulejmani among others.

A big thank you to everyone who took part in this special memorial day. The Pinehurst format always delivers a mix of strategy, teamwork, and the occasional “interesting” shot selection — and this year was no exception!
