Nov Men’s Medal

🏌️ SATURDAY MONTHLY MEDAL – 7 NOVEMBER 2026

β˜€οΈ INTRODUCTION – SUNSHINE, GLORIOUS FAIRWAYS.

What an absolutely magnificent day at Club Banora!

The sun was shining, the skies were a glorious blue, and our majestic golf course was looking so spectacular that even the birds seemed to stop and admire the scenery.

The fairways were pristine, the greens were magnificent, and everything was perfectly set for another fantastic Saturday Monthly Medal.

And then there was the 18th hole pin placement! Absolute bloody amazing, I loved the new change, helps when you 1 putt it from 8 feet away up hill

Oh, what a masterpiece of absolute golfing cruelty! Whoever selected that pin position deserves a standing ovation, a medal for creativity, and possibly a stern talking-to from several traumatised golfers!

Some called it challenging. Others called it ridiculous. A few probably questioned their entire existence while standing over a three-foot putt.

But surely we can all agree that the 18th pin placement was absolutely brilliant… provided you weren’t the poor bugger trying to putt into it!

Despite the final-hole entertainment, some excellent scores were recorded across all three divisions.

πŸ† DIVISION 1 – WINNERS

Patrick Tregellas (7) claimed the Division 1 Monthly Medal honours with an excellent nett 68, taking home the $50 voucher. Paul Pochodyla (12) secured runner-up honours with a nett 70, earning a $35 voucher.

The Gross Prize went to Garry Dowding (0), who produced a fine gross 71 to collect the $20 voucher.

πŸ† DIVISION 2 – WINNERS

Gerry Martin (18) delivered a sensational nett 66 to take out Division 2 and the $50 voucher. Ken Mount (15) wasn’t far behind, producing an impressive nett 68 to secure second place and the $35 voucher.

Les Browning (14) claimed the Gross Prize with a gross 83, collecting a $20 voucher.

πŸ† DIVISION 3 – WINNERS

Bob Myers (22) put together a fantastic performance, recording a brilliant nett 66 to claim Division 3 honours and the $50 voucher. Hot on his heels was Des Scott (22) with a terrific nett 67, securing the $35 runner-up voucher.

Graham McKenzie (21) collected the Gross Prize with a gross 93, earning a $20 voucher.

πŸš— IMPORTANT REMINDER – PRACTICE RANGE PARKING

A friendly reminder regarding the NO PARKING signs at the practice range.

For those who may be unfamiliar with the terminology, NO PARKING means NO PARKING!

Not “just for five minutes.”

Not “I’ll only be a moment.”

And certainly not “I’m sure they don’t mean me.”

If English isn’t your first language, please let me know and I’ll happily arrange for the signs to be changed into a language you can understand.

Otherwise, the signs are quite straightforward. Please do not park in the designated NO PARKING areas.

Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated!

πŸ‘ THANK YOU, EVERYONE!

Another wonderful Saturday at Club Banora, with fantastic weather, beautiful course conditions, excellent scoring and an 18th pin placement that will no doubt be discussed in therapy sessions for weeks to come!

Congratulations to all our winners and prize recipients, and a big thank you to everyone who participated.

Until next time, keep it on the fairway, enjoy your golf, and remember…

If you find yourself above the hole on the 18th, may the golfing gods have mercy on your soul! β›³πŸ˜‚
